Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
A rattling sound can come from several different issues. It could be caused by a bad installation where the windshield is vibrating against another surface. It could also be improperly installed exterior trims that vibrate when wind hits them. In one case, a roof glass job involved internal magnets that weren’t aligned correctly, causing a rattling noise over bumps.
Once the issue was identified and corrected, the noise went away. Rattling is almost always a sign that something isn’t seated or secured correctly and should be inspected by a technician.
Patrick explains that rattling sounds can come from improper installation, trim issues, or internal components and should be inspected.
