Size, weight and how they are set. A box truck or motorhome windshield can be two pieces, set in a rubber gasket or bonded with urethane depending on the chassis, and heavy enough to take two sets of hands. Older trucks and heavy equipment cabs have flat glass cut to pattern. Late-model pickups and vans carry the same forward-facing cameras as cars and need calibration after the glass goes in.
Chip Happens does this work every week from our Monroe shop for contractors, haulers, RV owners and fleets across Snohomish County and North King County, at your yard, your job site, your storage lot or your driveway.

Yes. As long as the truck can sit level for the installation and the urethane's safe drive-away time, a job site, yard or staging lot works. A parked truck is a truck that is not earning, so we schedule around your day and get it back in service the same day. Chip repair is the fastest fix of all: a cracked windshield in the driver's view can fail a DOT inspection, and a 30-minute repair keeps a working windshield working.

Class A and Class C motorhomes, camper vans on Sprinter, Transit and ProMaster chassis, and travel trailers with front windows. RV windshields are often ordered for the specific coach and arrive within a few days, and we come to your storage lot, campground or home with the glass and the crew to handle it safely. Gasket-set glass is reset with new rubber where needed; bonded glass gets the same pinch weld prep and urethane as a car.

Many late-model pickups and vans do. Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Ram and Toyota trucks, and Transit, Sprinter and ProMaster vans, carry lane keeping and forward collision cameras on the windshield that have to be recalibrated after replacement. We check the VIN and include calibration when the manufacturer requires it.
For companies with several trucks, a fleet account gets you priority dispatch, one invoice and scheduled chip repair rounds.
