Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
So to make sure glass is leak proof as that's very important in our industry um we clean the glass very well. We use very top quality installation materials like see and urethanes. Um, we do our best to ensure a good bond to the vehicle. Making sure that the vehicles uh pinch welds are clean and free of dirt and debris to give us the best chance at a bond. Although there's different factors that can come into play, even though you execute all of the steps correctly, you can still have a leak surprisingly come through.
Patrick Sherman explained that ensuring glass is leak-proof involves thoroughly cleaning the glass, using high-quality installation materials like sealants and urethanes, and ensuring the vehicle's pinch welds are clean. They also mentioned that sometimes, despite correct execution, leaks can still occur due to issues with the glass and glue bonding.
