Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
So, is it harder for Subarus and Teslas to get their windshield replaced? The answer is yes, in a sense. um they require a very uh in-depth recalibration um a dual recalibration and sometimes in the newer Subarus a triple recalibration and so there can be extra cost involved and a lot more work for the technician to make sure that the car is handled safely and uh getting the glass for Teslas can be trouble just because they're a they're popular vehicle but they're not popular as this in the sense of like compared to a Subaru which is you know vastly more customer base appeal. So, so while driving to avoid getting rock chips kicked up at your vehicle, um ideally take somebody else's.
Patrick Sherman also explained that Subarus and Teslas are generally harder to replace due to the required "very in-depth" dual or sometimes triple recalibration, which results in extra cost and work for the technician (00:02:49).
